I bought my first style n craft belt several years ago. I wore it every day to work. After experiencing the quality and toughness of the top grain leather, I ordered another one for dress. When my brother noticed it one day, he asked me where I got it.
I bought another one and gifted it to him. Fast forward a year or so... I still use my original belt every day for work, and as you would expect, it's stretched a bit and a little beat up, but still doing the job. My brother's birthday is coming up, and I assumed his belt was in a similar condition, so I bought a fourth one to give him.

The belt seems nice at first glance, but there is no stamp on the leather that states the quality of the leather. I ordered the belt believing it was too grain leather but when I compare the belt to other belts I own that have stamps and are stated to be genuine leather they look very similar. That and this product is made in India, also on the tag there is a statement that says “Variations in color and scars are characteristics and proof of genuine leather.” This states that the product is genuine leather which is not what I was intending on purchasing. Also it states that scars and discoloration are proof of genuine which is false but that also is inapplicable to top grain leather seeing as top grain leather is sanded and polished to remove those marks. Only full grain leather has said marks, so is the product full grain, top grain, or genuine?

All Style n Craft leather products are made out of Full Grain Leather. As all of out products are made in India, we use the water buffalo leather that is the main leather available. All of the leather we use for out products is drum dyed. We do not use any pigment on the top to spray coat the leather. The good quality of the leather used is apparent not only by the look and feel of the product but also after the product is put through use. The whole leather hide does not have scars on it so one gets some products with scars and some without them. Very light scars and marks do tend to get filled up during the processing of the leather in the process of drum dying. As leather is a natural material, it is possible that during the dying process in the drum some parts of the leather absorb more dye so those parts may tend to have a deeper color or a darker shade. These are less visible in darker colors and black but if looked carefully, the variations can be seen. Rest assured that when you buy a Style n Craft product you will get good quality full grain drum dyed leather.

These belts are so good that I bought a third one. They're 2" wide and that's hard to find with the fit and finish that these belts have. That sentence brings me to a thought. Your pants have belt loops connected to your pants. The belt goes through the belt loops, which in turn hold up your belt. But your belt holds up your pants. Whats really going on down there?
